I visited The Whisky Barrel in Port Jefferson Village on a weekday right before Christmas Eve, and despite the busy holiday rush, it was a surprisingly pleasant experience. The place was packed, which added a lively, festive vibe that felt just right for the season. The food was great—exactly what I was hoping for. The wings arrived fresh, hot, and perfectly spicy, while the sandwich was flavorful and hit the spot. My only issue was with the lettuce in the salad; the quality could have been better since it was a bit tough, making it hard to finish the whole salad. That aside, I really enjoyed my meal overall, and I’d definitely come back for another visit. The energy of the crowd combined with the tasty food made it a worthwhile stop!

I had a great experience at Whiskey Barrel. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I come to The Whiskey Barrel pretty regularly, and it’s consistently a good experience. The food and drinks are always solid, and the staff does a great job. Lucia and Miranda, in particular, are always friendly and make the place easy to come back to. It’s a go-to place and always worth checking out.
