The Whiskey Barrel

Been wanting to come here for awhile. Had to sit at the bar since the tables were all reserved already which was a bummer but the bar was actually pretty comfortable. They had a massive whiskey selection set up on shelves behind the bar that was an awesome display. The service was great with helpful recommendations. We got the burnt brussel sprout appetizer which was so good, but unfortunately just a special so go soon if you want to try it. Also got the steak sandwich which was really good, but not a ton of steak on it. My wife got a custom burger which came out a little overdone, but not bad at all. The place itself wasn't huge inside and quickly got loud as more people came in but still was a nice night out. Would come back again to try the wings and other handhelds.

I come to The Whiskey Barrel pretty regularly, and it’s consistently a good experience. The food and drinks are always solid, and the staff does a great job. Lucia and Miranda, in particular, are always friendly and make the place easy to come back to. It’s a go-to place and always worth checking out.

Been here twice, both times when Renee was performing. Always a good time. The food is great and the service is pretty fast. Can get very busy on Fridays, if you’re coming with a group - reservations encouraged.

Went mid week in early afternoon. One waitress working the bar and serving tables but wait time and service were great considering. She really hustled and was attentive. Ample drink menu, everyone happy with their selections. We ordered apps and they were delicious. Will go again.

The whiskey barrel has become one of my favorite spots. A regular spot before bowling. Lucia one of the bartenders is awesome, always on top of everything. And If you are a whiskey lover there is an amazing selection

I visited The Whisky Barrel in Port Jefferson Village on a weekday right before Christmas Eve, and despite the busy holiday rush, it was a surprisingly pleasant experience. The place was packed, which added a lively, festive vibe that felt just right for the season. The food was great—exactly what I was hoping for. The wings arrived fresh, hot, and perfectly spicy, while the sandwich was flavorful and hit the spot. My only issue was with the lettuce in the salad; the quality could have been better since it was a bit tough, making it hard to finish the whole salad. That aside, I really enjoyed my meal overall, and I’d definitely come back for another visit. The energy of the crowd combined with the tasty food made it a worthwhile stop!

I had a great experience at Whiskey Barrel. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was well-prepared and full of vibrant Mediterranean flavors. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients. The service was just as impressive. The staff were warm, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. They were also happy to offer recommendations, which really added to the experience. Overall, Whiskey Barrel is a fantastic place to enjoy a great meal in a welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for good food and great service.
